Team BtG members

BtG holds monthly social events for young people aged from 14 – 24 who have on going health issues. Together with Ben, the Hospital Youth Co-ordinator, we arrange a range of events from quiz nights to sailing on Pride of Mann 111. Each month members give suggestions of what we should do the following month.

Sign up to become a member of Bridge the Gap using the application form below and add that you’d like to be added to our mailing list for Team BtG events. Friends or family member are welcome to come along if you’d like and if you’d like to meet up prior to attending an event just get in touch using the email address below.

BtG Partner, Volunteer or Fundraiser

BtG works in partnership with businesses, individuals and other charities in order to offer the best possible support for young people, to provide a varied calendar of events and other support when required.

Please note that those volunteering to help at Team BtG young people events will be subject to a DBS check.

Team BtG Calendar of Events for 2025

January  – Thursday January 30th 6.30pm – 8.30pm  – Quiz and Nibbles at Looky’s Lounge Bar at the Palace Hotel.  

Our Quiz Master, Simon tested our knowledge, Ben circulated the tables helping out wherever needed, Jill & Carrie the craft table & Looky’s Lounge Bar staff welcomed Team BtG with wonderful hospitality and a delicious buffet.

February  – Thursday 19th February 6.30pm – 8.30pm – Craft, boardgames & pizza at the BtG Pod.

Ben was the referee of the board games, Jill & Fiona gathered rocks to be painted while thank you cards were carefully made to send to our sponsors. Everyone welcomed the pizza delivery man from Dominos!

March – Saturday 22nd March 12noon – 2pm – ‘World Animal Day’ falls in March & so we’ll be meeting various animals including a tiny pony named Buddy. We’ll also be welcoming ‘Vera the Hedgehog Lady’ who takes care of rescued hedgehogs. Ben will be challenging members to a game of pool on the pool table in a stable. Hot chocolate & chip baps are on the menu so get in touch by email if you’d like to come along! contact@btg.im

April  – Easter falls in April,  think egg decorating and rolling and cute baby lambs – further details to follow

May – 

June – ‘World Oceans Day’ falls in June so thanks to a collaboration with local charity SFD,  watch this space for a date to go sailing on the beautiful Pride of Mann 111
