Recently Dr. John C. Taylor O.B.E. opened his home at Arragon Mooar for ‘The Excitement of Time’ to raise funds and awareness for Bridge the Gap. Jo Pack was our charming host for the evening, welcoming guests who enjoyed champagne and canapés beneath the stunning Dragon Chronophage clock followed by a talk by Dr. Taylor who shared memories and experiences from his varied and fascinating life.
In addition to thanking Dr. Taylor, we would like to thank our sponsors – The Appleby Charitable Foundation, Callin Wild, Callin Wild Consulting Limited, Estera Trust (Isle of Man) Limited and Mr. Trevor Hemmings CVO. We would also like to thank Ashley Gardner Flying School, Ape Mann Adventures, Brightlife, Equilibrium, Filbeys, Manx Carriage Driving Experiences & Glen Mona Hotel & Country Pub, Passion, Poker Stars, Tracy Bell and the Wine Cellar who donated raffle prizes, Green Mann Spring for their donation of bottled water for the event and also the Isle of Man Flower Clubs’ Group which donated flower arrangements that were auctioned off at the end of the evening. We would also like to thank photographer Glenn Whorrall of ‘yourmoviecrew’ who captured the ambience of the evening, which seemed a fitting ‘Coming of Age’ of Bridge the Gap.
